In the Lynda Hazelwood Education Model, there are two teachers in a classroom. These teachers are highly experienced in the use of 52 classroom games and are certified in teaching English with games.
Children learn how to write, and the rules of grammar after learning how to speak the language itself. We cannot expect our children to write if we have not first taught them how to speak.
Lynda Hazelwood Educational Institutions conform to the educational model of the European Language Portfolio which is used all over the world.
If you don’t know English at all, your children will not see the need to learn this language. For this reason, in Lynda Hazelwood Language Centres, parents are also taught English through the use of games.
Lynda Hazelwood has been teaching languages since 1971. She has taught English in the UK and overseas, in both the public and private sectors. She also has experience of teaching English for Academic Purposes and materials writing
at university level and of teacher training in the field of ESOL. Lynda has been employed by the British Council for whom she taught all levels including Cambridge exam classes and English for Specific Purposes. She has been an examiner for the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate and for the Panhellenic Association of Language School Owners.
In 1993 Lynda founded INTESOL WORLDWIDE LTD. At that time INTESOL offered a number of language services including one to
one language teaching, adult classes, French Clubs for children aged 5-11, homestays for foreign students and introductory
weekend courses in teaching English as a foreign language.
The most successful of these was the introductory weekend TESOL course. 80% of the participants then wanted to take
a course which would qualify them to teach ESOL, but most could not give up 4 weeks of their time to study. Lynda then
began to develop materials for home study and these soon became an academically accredited distance course. This became
the first of a number of certificate courses, including Teaching English to Young Learners, and INTESOL WORLDWIDE has now become one of the most prestigious providers of quality courses throughout the world.
Lynda believes that high standards are essential in language teaching and training and has had this endorsed by several UK
